Hi Guest!! What's on your mind?
Can you live in other parts of Nigeria apart from Lagos?

Lagos is a city of hustle and bustle, some people complain that Lagos is stressful while others believe Lagos helps their drive. Would you live outside Lagos (any other place in Nigeria), if given the opportunity?

It all depends on what your preferences are. There is no an absolutely best place to live in Nigeria, different places in Nigeria have their own peculiarities and uniqueness, when the peculiarity of a particular place matches your preferences, then the place is best for you.

I will highlight some common places and what they are best known for below:

  • Peace, calmness and tranquility : Ilorin, Osun, Ibadan
  • Bubbling social life : Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt
  • Economic centers : Lagos, Kano, Onitsha
  • Very low cost of living : Ilorin, Ibadan
  • High standard of living : Rivers, Abuja, Port Harcourt
  • Cultural values : Ife, Benin

Nigeria is a geographical space that encompasses people with all kinds of attitudes, cultural inclinations, values, belief systems and social orientation. There is always a place that matches you!

Obviously, yes. I can live in any part of Nigeria apart from Lagos. But some reasons are first to be taken in consideration like security, job, favourable climatic conditions and accommodation before one decides. All these factors mentioned should be considered. But the most priority is the security nature of that state. A state where the level of  security is very bad, will surely have negative effects on other factors because topmost security ensures protection of lives and  properties. Because when you work, you get paid and this is used to equip your house, feed and carry out some other functions. A situation where there is none, lives, properties, money will be lost. By comparing the security situation in the north with that of south west, south east and south south is an example.

Yes. Other states don't have much opportunities like Lagos but you'll have peace of mind.
